What to Expect
We will provide at least one table and 2 chairs - we can try and accommodate more if needed. Your organisation’s name will be on your table/area
We have wifi access, but as it is a Saturday nobody from Whitireia IT department is on call. If you rely on a connection bring a backup incase we have issues,
Power sockets are available, you will need extension cables
We should be bringing around coffee/tea/water - we have a few volunteers who I will make sure they check in with you.
It should be a super fun day - so hopefully you enjoy yourselves and meet lots of amazing people
What to Bring
Table decorations, flags, signs, boards - whatever you have to “flash-up” your stall
Any tech you like having - laptops, TVs, etc and cables you need
Flyers and giveaways
If you can consider that some of the visitors may have allergy or dietary issues when it comes to food. E.g. Lollies can be great - but I know of one student attending who probably shouldn’t be having them
Health and Safety
Masks
As covid is still an issue, please consider the use of masks. There will be no requirement to wear one and we appreciate that it can make communication difficult. Check in with visitors, if they would like you to mask up.
Covid-19
The usual advice still stands. Ensure you have tested and are symptom free before attending. If you have had covid please complete your 7 day isolation before attending.
Emergency procedures
There will be a briefing during the official welcome around what to do in the event of emergency such as a fire or earthquake. Please take note of this and assist any visitors if they are confused or need help.
