Blind Low Vision NZ

We help people with visual impairments 18-25years....
We support people with no or limited useful sight that makes doing day-to-day tasks a challenge, even with the best corrective lenses.
This programme applies to students who are likely to be between the ages of 16 and 21, and who are moving from BLENNZ into the adult services provided by Blind Low Vision NZ. There may also be a cohort of youth clients between the ages of 18 and 25 years who are transitioning from mainstream high schools into either employment or study.

Our Transition Services support young people who are between 16 and 21 years of age and are thinking about leaving school in the next year or two years. Our role is to assist young people and families with one-on-one support to plan for the steps needed to get the life they want.

We help students who are thinking about leaving school and wanting find a job...
Choices NZ is dedicated to ensuring people with disabilities and health needs enjoy fulfilling and independent lives. We provide transition services to people aged between 16-21 and in their final year of school who are wondering what to do next. This may include finding a job or a place to live, looking at further education and discovering cool things to do in the community.

Community Connections/Employment Connections supports young people and their Whānau to make informed choices about the next stages of their lives after school. We support over a 1 or 2 year period depending on your preference and can support young people using Individualised funding as well as through the Ongoing Resourcing Scheme.
Evaro

We help students leaving school, who want a job and we have a day service in the city...
Evaro provides three services in the Greater Wellington region, they are Evaro Transition, Evaro Employment and Evaro Community Participation. Evaro Transition supports the student and their family/whanau to find positive life outcomes beyond secondary school. Transition is available to secondary school students who are funded by the Ongoing Resource Scheme (ORS) with High or Very High Needs and in their final two years of school.

We help students from Porirua and Kāpiti leaving school and we have a day service in Tītahi Bay...
We provide Transition Services to ORS funded students in the Porirua and Kāpiti region that are in their last 2 years of school. We work alongside the student to identify their career and lifestyle aspirations. We then create a holistic plan to achieve this.
