Capital Support

Wellington, Porirua and Kāpiti

Capital Support is contracted by the Te Whatu Ora (used to be Ministry of Health) to work with disabled people under the age of 65 and their family, whānau, aiga, or carers, living in the CCDHB area.

We allocate Ministry-funded disability support services and help with accessing other supports. These services are then delivered by their respective service providers.

The TalkLink Trust specialises in Communication Assistive Technology and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). AAC tools and strategies are used to supplement or replace speech or writing forpeople with difficulties in these areas.

The TalkLink team consists of speech-language therapists, occupational therapists, teachers and technicians. We partner with disabled people, their whanau and support teams to find AAC solutions to suit the individual.

The TalkLink Trust has contracts with Whaikaha and ACC which allow TalkLink to offer free services to eligible clients, however since we area small team there is currently a long waiting list for our services.
